Product overview
Cisco Catalyst IE3300 Rugged Series switches deliver high-speed connectivity in a compact form factor, and are designed for a wide range of industrial applications where hardened products are required. The modular design of the Cisco Catalyst IE3300 Rugged Series offers the flexibility to expand to up to 26 ports of with a range of expansion module options. The platform is built to withstand harsh environments in manufacturing, energy, transportation, mining, smart cities, and oil and gas. The IE3300 platform is also ideal for extended enterprise deployments in outdoor spaces, warehouses, and distribution centers.
These switches run Cisco IOS® XE, a next-generation operating system with built-in security and trust, featuring secure boot, image signing, and the Cisco® Trust anchor module. Cisco IOS XE also provides API-driven configuration with open APIs and data models.
The Cisco Catalyst IE3300 Rugged Series can be with powerful management tools such as Cisco DNA Center and Cisco Industrial Network Director, and can be easily set up with a completely redesigned user-friendly modern GUI tool called WebUI. The platform also supports Full Flexible NetFlow (FNF) for real-time visibility into traffic patterns and threat analysis with Cisco Stealthwatch®.
The IE3300 series (with expansion module) supports power budget of up to 360W for /+, shared across 24 ports, and is ideal for connecting -powered end devices such as IP cameras, phones, wireless access points, sensors, and more. The Cisco® Industrial 2000 (IE 2000) Series is a range of compact, ruggedized access switches that handle security, voice, and video traffic across industrial networks. Primary Benefits and Features
– Easy deployment: Zero-touch discovery using Dynamic Host Control Protocol (DHCP), express setup, and bootup time (60 seconds) to help in migrating to an environment without resistance.
– Security: 802.1x, port security, and DHCP allow dynamic port-based authentication; Secure Shell (SSHv2); SNMPv3 provides encrypted administrator traffic during Telnet and SNMP sessions; TACACS+ and RADIUS authentication facilitate centralized control and restrict unauthorized users.
– Resiliency: Flex links for recovery; Cisco REP protocol for convergence.
– Manageability: Auto SmartPort, Web Device Manager, Telnet, HTTPS access, SNMP, CNA, and Cisco Prime Infrastructure 1.2.1.
– Network Address Translation (NAT): Line-rate, hardware-enabled 1:1 static address translation designed to enable duplicate IP address usage in the Layer 2 machine node networks.
– Industrial : (IEEE 802.af) and + (802.3at) supported on selected models.
– Industrial automation protocols: Common Industrial Protocol (CIP) and PROFINETv2 allow integration with existing management platforms from Rockwell, Siemens, and others.
